The dry and warm spring that followed hastened the vines’ growth and a temperate summer provided an ideal condition for the start of veraison

A lieu-dit that lies on the border of Avize & Cramant with vines in both villages | Aurélien’s parcel is on the Cramant side right along the Avize border at the top of a small hill with roughly 30 cm of silty clay topsoil over degraded Campanian chalk | originally planted in 1952
