Early 1800s Oak Carved Chest homebar accessories Moody and mysteriousA wonderful carved oak box or chest, circa late 18th century or early 19th century. It most likely would have been used to hold bibles or books. It does have wear and tear, especially on the corners and sides and a repair to one of the feet, but given its age, it is in incredible condition. It makes a wonderful side table in a living room or bedroom and great for storage too. The oak wood looks almost black as oak has a high tannin content which when
