They are in lovely vintage condition with a few teeny scratches and marks. Possibly used for collecting, or jewellery, precious keepsakes or letters. I love the brass handles, as well and the little lock, although they no longer have the key. Perfect for tabletop drawers in the kitchen or bedroom. There some water marks on the wood but overall they are in gorgeous
