British War Medal 1914–1918 – Full Size Category_Long & Meritorious Service eligibility for the Air ForceThis full size reproduction of the British War Medal represents one of the principal campaign medals awarded for service during the First World War. The medal was generally awarded to members of the British and Imperial forces who completed at least 28 days of mobilised service during 19141918. Its qualifying period was subsequently extended to include certain post war operations, including mine clearance and service in Russia during 1919 and 1920.
