Trachycarpus fortunei Greensboro Achimenes The tropical-looking 30" long xIn 1997, we first offered Trachycarpus fortunei 'Greensboro' a hardier strain of windmill palm, seed grown from a hardy 30' specimen, growing at a church in Greensboro, NC, 2 hours northwest of Raleigh. We offered it through 2001, when due to church expansion, the original Trachycarpus 'Greensboro' palm was killed. Fortunately, we planted several seedlings here at the garden, and they are now producing seed, so we can once again, share those genetics.
